State College Startup Weekend

Just a quick reminder that ticket sales for State College’s Startup Weekend have started. Get yours here. Folks are already registering, so don’t miss your opportunity to attend.

Just like the summer flying by, so is the time leading up to Startup Weekend in State College! We are now just two months from the event, taking place from October 24-26 in the IST Building’s Cybertorium. The official site is now up on StartupWeekend.com.

We now need everyone to start spreading the word, so that we can get attendees registered. Given that there will only be a limited number of seats at the event and the usual strong demand that we can expect at PSU, I expect spots to fill up quickly.

Additionally, since I am not in State College, this will actually create an opportunity for the PSU entrepreneurship community, as a group of volunteers who are actually in town is needed to take a leadership role and organize the details for the event. We’re excited to have Startup Weekend coming to State College, Pennsylvania - the home of Penn State and the Nittany Lions - during the weekend of October 24-26, 2008!!

Startup Weekend is scheduled to be held in the College of Information Sciences and Technology’s IST Building on Penn State’s University Park campus. We have reserved the Cybertorium, the building’s largest presentation and learning space, to house the event. The event will be hosted by the Penn State Network of Entrepreneurs, one of the entrepreneur/startup-focused student organizations on campus.
